Invitation

Hello!

You’re here because someone thought you should attend Super Friend Bash. Super Friend Bash is a group vacation, annual tradition, and philosophy.

THIS YEAR, 2024, we are going on a Caribbean Cruise in October. The known details are available here, but being actively discussed by attendees via Discord. You can join the server whenever, but the secret planning channel requires you to send me $30 by April 15.

We’d love to see you there!

FAQ

How do you decide where to go and when? I have a great idea of where you should go!

Suggestions are now standardized: on the last day of the trip, everybody debriefs about what went well/poorly. We then toss out suggestions about places to go next and create a survey. People who have attended SFBs can vote (in ratios relative to their frequency) and a decision is finalized in the Fall/Winter of that respective year.

I can’t make it. It’s too expensive/time consuming/etc. But can I take my time and decide later?

Maybe. Everybody that sends money before April 15 will become the decision-making committee. They will decide whether or not more people can attend.

Why don’t you all come to where I live or my hometown?

Ha ha, no. I hate your hometown. Your hometown shot my pa.

Can I invite X?

If you’ve attended before, sure, invite anyone you think is cool and would combine well. If you have not, then… maybe? Usually, there are more newbies than veteran SFB attendees, but the delicate orchestra of group dynamics changes with each new addition. Contact us!

How do I give you $$$ to reserve my spot?

My Venmo is @proflos and my Zelle is +1-919-699-3659, but contact that number beforehand so that the money is not lost.

Wait, why do I need to give you money?

Okay, you got us. This year, you don’t. Given the nature of a cruise, you can just join, forfeit the swag, and say hi. That said, this money will entirely go toward swag for attendees. We also need people to put up for planning purposes. We ain’t planning around anybody that will let $30 get in the way of a good time.

Can I get my money back if I don’t go?

Maybe. That depends on how much notice you gave us, how much it affects the rest of the attendees, how communicative you’ve been, and whether we all vote on it. Sorry about the limitation, this is merely to eliminate any possibility of bad blood when people inevitably cancel at the last minute. If we decide not to give you back your money, we’re really sorry, but it’s usually because you cost us money as well and you knew the deal when you made a deposit.

I love your idea, can I steal it and not invite you?

Sure, no prob. Let me know the details and I’ll set up a page on it for your group. Or, you could start your own Renegade Bash if you like. I’d call such a Renegade Bash the No Carloses Trip, but you can make whatever terrible decisions you like.
